A lot of exciting announcements have come from the Destination D23 event this weekend!

We’ve learned more about ongoing projects and things coming soon, as well as returning offerings in the parks. And if you were hoping for more news on the recently-announced MagicBand+, then Disney has got you covered!
We first learned about MagicBand+ at the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort, where we found out that the new bands would have all the features of a MagicBand, but with the addition of some new interactive elements. In today’s Parks, Experiences, and Products panel, Josh D’Amaro wore a prototype to show the audience exactly what they look like.

These new bands will light up with special effects during nighttime spectaculars and allow you to interact with the Disney Fab 50 golden character statues. And in addition to their arrival at Disney World next year, they’ll also be coming to Disneyland Resort in 2022! This marks the first time that Disneyland Resort has had any version of MagicBands, and there will be some exclusive designs for the west coast guests.

That’s everything new about MagicBand+ for now, but we’ll keep you updated when we get an official launch date. Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest news and updates!

Disclosure: We were invited by Disney to attend Destination D23. This did not affect our reporting of the event — our opinions are our own.
I can’t wait to get one!
Will they be out by January 25 ?
