Seven Types Of People Who Should Stay At Disney World’s ‘Star Wars’ Hotel

When Disney World announced the prices for the Star Wars Hotel, aka Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, many Disney and Star Wars fans were left in shock — sticker shock.

At almost $5000 for two people, it does seem like a lot of money, although that money will give guests a unique interactive experience unlike anything Disney has done before. But who exactly is the target audience here?

We think are the seven types of people who should consider a stay on the Galactic Starcruiser.

1. People wanting a unique experience

So as we mentioned, a two-night stay at the Galactic Starcruiser is not cheap, but if you’ve got the money to spend, you’re in for an experience you probably have not had anywhere else. This is going to be an immersive two-night adventure where guests will literally be part of the Halcyon’s story, and decisions they make during their stays will affect what happens onboard.

Guests will even have the opportunity to dress up and create their own characters. And let’s just say that the Galactic Starcruiser will take live-action roleplaying up a HUGE notch.

2. Massive Star Wars fans

It goes without saying that if you live, eat, and breathe Star Wars, you’ll need to book a stay on the Galactic Starcruiser. The experience will be one of the most ultimate things a Star Wars fan can do and, again, it’s unlike anything being offered elsewhere.

If you dream of putting yourself in the shoes of Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, or any of the myriad of characters in the expansive Star Wars universe, Galactic Starcruiser is your chance to live out those dreams to the fullest.

3. Families who are into Star Wars

The beautiful thing about Star Wars fandom is that it transcends generations and many of today’s kids have been raised on the franchise by parents who’ve loved Star Wars since the first film premiered in 1977.

And these families have a chance to share that love together in a new way on the Galactic Starcruiser. This would be the ultimate family trip for families who celebrate their Star Wars love together.

  1. It sounds like Space Camp (Space Camp is a week instead of two days). At Space Camp we roleplayed Astronauts; we all died in the Space Station when someone accidentally opened the airlock, the repair manual for the satilite floatted into space because a crew member wasn’t holding on to it, and we got space sickness and trapped inside the Spaceshuttle’s malfunctioning airlock. All Ears Cast Members, please as soon as possible stay at the Star Wars Space Cruise Hotel to review if it lives up to the hype.

    1) People who do not call it the “Star Wars Hotel”

It’s the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. Calling it a Hotel continues to downplay its intended function, makes the cost seems even more ridiculous than it is, and is as annoyingly incorrect as people calling the Wizarding World of Harry Potter “Harry Potter World”. It’s just wrong lol stahhhhpit. You don’t call Magic Kingdom “Disneyland World”, do you?

  3. My initial reaction is $5K for 2 days?? But in truth, all of us spend discretionary income in ways that might baffle other people. If you’re paying the bills and have extra money, why not? There are people that think going to WDW multiple times a year makes no sense either. I spent $25K on a motorcycle so I’m in that group too. Life is short, try to do what makes you happy once in a while and don’t feel the need to apologize for it.
