PHOTOS: Check Out the New ‘Coco’ Scene Added to PhilharMagic in Disney World

Mickey’s PhilharMagic is an attraction located in the Fantasyland section of Magic Kingdom! Using 3D glasses, you watch as Donald Duck tries to track down the Sorceror Mickey Hat while making his way through classic Disney films.

Philharmagic is back!

Today, there’s a new scene at Mickey’s PhilharMagic for the first time in almost 20 years!

The theater got a fresh coat of paint on the exterior, with some work still to be done with the detailing.

In the new scene, Donald chases the Sorcerer’s Hat through the Land of the Dead from Coco, meeting Miguel and Héctor along the way! He finally gets the hat while on stage with Miguel and Héctor…

The music was wonderful, of course

…only to be snatched up by Pepita and taken into the next scene.

There he goes!

In the past, we’ve been able to enjoy this new scene over on the West Coast with the Disney California Adventure version of PhilharMagic, but it’s nice to see the new scene make its way over to Disney World!

  1. The music from Coco is exciting, inspired and brilliant. A welcome addition to Philharmagic. How about a completely alternate show with other songs? Donald could be the conductor and Mickey could interfere. France alternates between their Paris movie and the Beauty and the Beast sing along. How about switching up Soarin too? Frequent Disney guests appreciate something old, something borrowed, and something new! How many Disney guests will be riding Tron? Or the new Epcot coaster? I’m pretty certain there is a large group that won’t. And a large group that will.
