A Small Update on the Status (and COST) of the Train to Walt Disney World

Disney’s Magical Express is shutting down starting next year, and it will be replaced by the Mears Connect Service.

You will be missed, Magical Express!

But Disney has announced that they’re working with Brightline to connect the Orlando International Airport to Disney World via a high-speed train route. The project isn’t going to be finished for a few years, but we just got an update that shows it’s still moving along!

The first Brightline trainset that is going to run on the Central Florida line is in the process of being moved from Jacksonville to West Palm Beach, according to ClickOrlando.

The brand-new train is going to be the first one to service the Central Florida stops, including the one at the Orlando International Airport.

Around 7PM on tonight, October 14th, the train will be towed down the East Coast Rail Line from Jacksonville to West Palm Beach. Brightline has also announced that the 3-hour trip from South Florida to the Orlando International Airport will cost about $100 and will run hourly.
