Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Steakhouse 71 is having its official grand opening at Disney’s Contemporary Resort today and we’re stopping by to check it out. We have already brought you a first look inside the new ’70s themed restaurant that has replaced The Wave for the 50th anniversary, but today we’re BACK to try breakfast!

Atmosphere

If you’re not familiar, Steakhouse 71 is now located on the first floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort and features a brand new “sleek yet comfortable” look with nods to Florida and Disney history.

And, there’s even a pretty wide selection of Coffees and Tea, Milk, alcoholic “Wake Up Calls,” and Non-Alcoholic Specialties.

Steakhouse 71 Drinks

We started off our meal with a few new drink selections including the Sherbert Punch, which is made with Orange Sherbet, Sprite®, and House-made Grenadine for $7

…and the EARidescent Sip-a-bration for $10. Now, this is a specialty drink that has arrived in Disney World for the 50th anniversary and it’s almost equally as fun to look at as it is to drink! It is Minute Maid Premium Lemonade served in a souvenir 50th Celebration Cup with an edible Mickey Mouse that you put into your drink to turn it into…

…this! And, it’s not just the color that changes when you add Mickey, it adds a Fruity Strawberry Punch to your lemonade too.

For our meal, we ordered the Fresh-baked Breakfast Pastries for $10 as a starter.

It comes with an assortment of morning bites like a croissant, cheese danish, cinnamon roll, chocolate muffin, and lemonade muffin.

Plus, our server even brought us some butter and jam to use.

Now, we couldn’t settle for trying just one entree for breakfast — so we chose a couple! We got Walt’s Prime Rib Hash, which is a Seared Prime Rib with Fried Potatoes, Caramelized Onions & Peppers topped with a Fried Egg for $17

…and the Steakhouse 71 Seasonal Pancakes (which are pumpkin right now). For $14, the pancakes come with your choice of Bacon, Pork Sausage, or Chicken Sausage.

Just note that the pumpkin pancakes are topped with some icing and pecans, but you can ask for them to be prepared without these.

If you’re coming to the restaurant hoping to try a little bit of everything, there’s also The Steakhouse 71 Feast.
