It’s been a long year and a half for Broadway, but as of June, performances have returned to the big stage!

Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway debuted for the first time on September 14th and Disney’s Aladdin The Musical also returned a few days ago. But, just one day after reopening, COVID-19 cases have halted the production.
According to a tweet sent out by Aladdin the Musical (@aladdin) on Twitter, the performance of Aladdin at The New Amsterdam Theatre on September 29th was canceled due to “breakthrough COVID-19 cases” that were “detected within the company.”
