However, not all Disney World Resorts are as popular and beloved as others — they can’t all be the Polynesian! But even the least popular resorts have their unique charms! 

These are the best things about Walt Disney World’s least popular Resorts. 

The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Our first overlooked resort is the Value version of Wilderness Resort, which frequently gets skipped over because, well, it’s a campground! 

For those who want amenities, luxury, and fancy decor, the Campsites are not for you. But the best part about this one is not only how budget-friendly it is, but all the unique activities you can do here! 

From horseback riding to archery lessons, it’s the best place in Disney World for outdoorsy adventure! Or if you prefer an activity with less adrenaline, you can always roast your own s’mores by a fire! 

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Too often, Disney’s bucolic BoardWalk Inn plays second fiddle to the BoardWalk’s more popular neighbors: Yacht and Beach Club. 

But you’d be remiss to skip this gorgeously designed resort for a bunch of reasons! Like Yacht and Beach Club, it’s got convenient Friendship Boat access and walkable proximity to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but it also stands out with its fantastic theming and the sheer variety of things to do here. 

From nightlife and dining to shopping and a magic-themed bar, BoardWalk Inn makes it very easy to stay entertained outside the parks! 

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

There’s really a lot to love about this vibrant Value resort, from its huge pool to its unexpectedly great poolside cocktails and fun theming. 

Our favorite part, though, is how above-and-beyond the hotel goes with family-friendly options! Specifically, Art of Animation has nearly 2,000 family suites, which offer huge potential savings and provide plenty of space for larger traveling parties! 

Disney’s Old Key West Resort

There’s something so refreshingly chill and relaxing about Old Key West Resort, which conjures easy-living island vibes through its sunny decor and quieter environment. 

The ambience is fantastic enough on its own, but the best part is the hotel’s underrated restaurant, Olivia’s Cafe, and its sleeper hit Fried Chicken! 

This might sound controversial, but we’d venture to say that this Fried Chicken rivals our beloved Homecomin’! 

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter

A hidden gem,  Port Orleans Resort French Quarter has never been as popular as it deserves to be. 

What we love most about this one is its gorgeous French Quarter-inspired design, which transports us to the streets of New Orleans. 

Another thing that transports us? Those habit-forming Mickey Beignets, which are so good that they could easily rank among Mickey Waffles and Mickey Pretzels as quintessential Mickey-shaped snacks! 

Just because these hotels aren’t as popular as some of the heavy-hitters doesn’t make them any less destination-worthy. The proof is in the cozy theming, the archery lessons, and the beignets!
