One of the biggest parts of planning your trip to Disney World is booking your dining reservations in advance!
60 days out from your vacation, you can wake up bright and early in the morning to get all your favorite meals scheduled throughout your trip. But what happens if the system breaks down? If you experienced some problems making your reservations this morning, you weren’t alone!
This morning, many guests logged into the My Disney Experience app and the Disney World website hoping to book a meal at California Grill with the new 50th Anniversary menu. The special dining experience opens on October 3rd, and the reservation system was having some serious issues.
We logged on to My Disney Experience around 5:30 EST and were immediately redirected to a waiting room on the Disney World website. After hanging out in the waiting room for a few minutes, we were moved to the reservation page on the website, where nothing was showing available for opening night.
We continued trying with the system for another hour and a half, and finally, the California Grill page completely quit. At one point, the check availability button stopped working and the site wouldn’t even allow us to select a time for our reservation.

Unfortunately the dining reservation system isn’t working! Help!!!!!!
I made our reservation this morning for later in October. It was doing something wonky, but I am so excited that we landed dinner there at a great time!
Yes! I was also up at 5:30 am, was sent into orbit, then got to the waiting room and was there for about an hour when I got kicked out completely. I checked again when I returned home from work and still am not able to get in. ?
I logged on sometime around 5:40ish or so and it redirected me to the page you’re talking about. But I’m impatient so I went back into the app and it allowed me to make reservations like normal. Lots of times available and got my confirmation at 5:42am.
i was able to score reservations for 640pm on October 28th when i logged in this morning. the sight crashed on me at 6am but when i tried again at 650am i got right in
