NEWS: Owen Wilson and Rosario Dawson Join the Cast of Disney’s ‘Haunted Mansion’ Movie

We’re just one month away from the release of Muppets Haunted Mansion, but we also have our sights set on Disney’s upcoming film adaptation of The Haunted Mansion!

The film, which is currently in pre-production and is directed by Justin Simien, will star a recent Marvel and Star Wars alumni!

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Owen Wilson will star in Disney’s ‘Haunted Mansion’ film! Wilson joins LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish, who were previously discussed as joining the production and confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.

Owen Wilson was recently seen in Marvel Studios’ Loki, where he played Mobius M. Mobius. Does this mean that the Haunted Mansion will include a place for Owen Wilson to finally ride his beloved jet ski? We’ll admit, we’re still pretty upset we were left hanging on that critical plot point in Loki.

In addition to Owen Wilson, Deadline has reported that Rosario Dawson will also join the cast. She was recently seen in The Mandalorian playing the role of Ahsoka Tano.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is scheduled to begin filming in Atlanta this October! The film is described as “ensemble in nature,” so we’ll have to wait and see exactly how Owen Wilson and Rosario Dawson fit into the world fo the movie! We’ll continue to keep an eye out on additional casting announcements as the film heads into production.
