Disney recently released a lot of information about Disney World’s Annual Passes, and there have been TONS of changes.

Disney World is rolling out a new Annual Pass system that will include new pass types, different add-ons, price increases, and more. Just like the Disney Genie, this new system can be difficult to understand, but we’re here to break it down in the easiest way possible!
The main thing to know about Disney World’s new Annual Pass system is that there are 4 new annual pass options. Let’s take a look at what each one offers!
The Disney Incredi-Pass is the most expensive pass at $1,299 plus tax. This pass allows for 5 Park Pass Reservations and has no blockout dates.

The Disney Sorcerer Pass costs $899 plus tax, allows 5 Park Pass Reservations, and has limited blockout dates. This pass is only available to Florida Residents and Disney Vacation Club Members.

The Disney Pirate Pass is next at $699 plus tax. The Pirate Pass is for Florida Residents only, allows for 4 Park Pass Reservations, and has blockout dates during holidays and peak times.

The Disney Pixie Dust Pass is the cheapest pass and costs $399 plus tax. Another pass that is for Florida Residents only, it has the most blockout dates and allows 3 Park Pass Reservations at once.

Florida Residents can pay for their pass using monthly payments. Also note that Disney announced that Annual Pass sales are limited so that they can control capacity. Starting on September 8th, guests will be able to buy the new Annual Passes! The passes will be for available to buy through the My Disney Experience app, the Disney World website, at the Ticket Centers at theme parks and Disney Springs, and over the phone at 407-W-Disney (407-934-7639).

For guests who have purchased tickets, they can be upgraded to select Annual Pass types. Guests can apply the price of the ticket towards one of the new Annual Passes. Go to the My Disney Experience app, a theme park ticket booth, the Ticket Center at Disney Springs, or call 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639) to upgrade your tickets.

Disney will enhance the reservation system for Passholders, allowing them to view blockout dates for each pass, see available dates, and make, modify, or cancel reservations in one spot. Passholders will also be able to make bonus reservations on top of the listed amount for each pass. If Passholders stay at a Disney World resort, they’ll be able to make park reservations for their entire stay on top of the limit for each pass.

One of the biggest reason to become an Annual Passholder is for the perks, and there are several still included in the new passes. No matter what pass type you have, perks include park hopping, standard theme park parking, add-ons, exclusive merchandise, special surprises during Disney World’s 50th anniversary, and discounts on merchandise, dining, and other activities.
Although Disney PhotoPass used to be included with the Annual Passes, that feature is now an add-on for $99. The Water Parks and Sports add-on is also $99, and includes access to the water parks, mini golf, and more with no blockout dates.

So what happens if you are a current Disney World Annual Passholder? Well, for now you can use your pass normally, and when it is time to renew, you’ll have to renew to one of the new passes. Here are the renewal prices for the new passes:
- Disney Incredi-Pass: $1,104 plus tax
- Disney Sorcerer Pass: $764 plus tax
- Disney Pirate Pass: $594 plus tax
- Disney Pixie Dust Pass: $339 plus tax

On September 8th, all current Annual Passholders will be able to hold 5 Park Pass Reservations at once instead of 3!
If you have a pass that is not activated, you’ll want to activate it by September 7th to keep it. If you do not, the pass will be converted to the new Annual Pass system, but you will not lose any of the perks that were included like Disney PhotoPass or the Water Parks and Sports option (they will remain on your pass for free).

That’s the brand new Annual Pass system broken down for you! There is a lot to know about the new passes, and we hope this breakdown helped you understand the new system a bit better. We’ll continue to keep you updated on the latest news at Disney World, so stay tuned for more.

just wondering if I have an annual pass that has not been activated yet and has the photo pass option when I bought it will disney still honor it ??
AFTER 35 years I willre not be renewing my annual pass.Disney has become money hungry. They dont care about the average family.Sorry Disney
I feel the same way. It is not how Walt felt. It was for families to enjoy. Now it’s only for the wealthy. The average family cannot afford to go. It’s a shame
I used to come down 4 or 5 times a year because I had an annual pass along with friends or family members but now it has become so expensive I cannot afford more than once a year. I used to buy annual passes until they became more expensive than my hotel. Very sorry to say I cannot afford Disney any longer.
