Dividers Will Separate Guests and Scare Actors at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights Houses

With the first night of Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights fast approaching, we’re learning more about what to expect from this year’s events.

Halloween Horror Nights is almost here!

We also had a first look at what kind of snacks we’ll be able to munch on, as well as what scare zones will be available to guests. But now we have an update on those scare zones!

According to The Orlando Sentinel, all scare zones and houses will have a vinyl divider that will separate scare actors from guests. This is being done as a “precaution against the transmission of COVID-19.”

Most recently, Florida hit a record-high of daily COVID-19 cases, so the vinyl will be installed “in key locations” to allow scare actors to safely interact with guests.

Halloween Horror Nights

Face coverings will also be mandatory for team members and performers while indoors at Halloween Horror Nights, which aligns with Universal’s current health and safety guidelines for employees. Currently, face masks are recommended but not required for guests. Last year, Universal placed sheets of plexiglass between actors and guests — at that time, scare actors were also required to wear face coverings.

  1. That should take some of the scare factor away. We’re going for the first time this year so it will be interesting to see if it makes it not very scary, knowing they can’t get to you. Which is fine by me lol.
