Four Disneyland Bars and Lounges You Have to Check Out!

Disneyland is home to some iconic bars and lounges. The cult favorite Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar as well as the shiny, new Lamplight Lounge are popular among locals and tourists alike.

Next time you’re at Disneyland, however, we have four bars and lounges we want you to give a try!

Some of these are off the beaten path, but because Disneyland is so small, you’re never further than a ten to fifteen minute walk from MOST places.

Hearthstone Lounge – Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

We’re starting off our bar and lounge tour at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. This deluxe resort boasts some fantastic food options including the signature Napa Rose. Despite its extremely close proximity from California Adventure (literally steps away), the resort sees relatively little foot traffic throughout the day.

Off to the side of the main lobby sits Hearthstone Lounge, a cozy retreat that feels awfully different than the hustle and bustle of the rest Disneyland. Indoor and outdoor seating offer a quiet escape in the middle of the afternoon or as a way to cap off the night after a long day in the parks.

This full-service bar also serves small bites throughout the day, in addition to some artisanal pizzas and a few dessert options.

GCH Craftsman Bar – Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

If you are looking for a bar that also serves a full menu of food, you don’t have to leave Grand Californian to find the perfect spot. GCH Craftsman Bar is a fairly new poolside bar and lounge. This is not to be confused with Craftsman Grill, a Quick Service dining location that was previously called White Water Snacks.

In addition to a full-service bar, this poolside lounge has a full menu with table side service. Don’t let the fact that it’s poolside be a turnoff; this bar has a really nice atmosphere that matches the vibe of the Grand Californian perfectly. And if it’s a nice day (as most days in Southern California are), this may become your new favorite spot!

Carthay Circle Lounge – Disney California Adventure

One of Disneyland’s most iconic Signature restaurants is Carthay Circle. The restaurant is located toward the front entrance of Disney California Adventure, and reservations are often harder to come by than most other dining locations at the resort. If you don’t manage to get a table, however, never fear.

Carthay Circle Lounge offers first come, first serve seating on a nightly basis, and you only need to wait in a line, similar to the seating experience at Lamplight Lounge. The wait is typically twenty to thirty minutes long, but if you arrive early, you’ll be among the first to get a seat.

The lounge is located on the lower level of Carthay Circle and offers a full bar as well as small bites.

Uva Bar and Cafe – Downtown Disney

Our last stop on our bar and lounge tour takes us to Downtown Disney. Uva Bar and Cafe is an outdoor bar and restaurant located at the heart of the shopping and dining district of Disneyland. This is a great spot to grab a drink or a bite to eat on the way back to your hotel after a long day in the parks.

Uva Bar and Cafe’s sister restaurant, Catal, is another location to consider if you’re looking for an off-the-beaten-path option. Other bars and restaurants, like Ballast Point, Tortilla Jo’s, and Splitsville are more likely to fill up first and have longer waits.
