The countdown is ON for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations!

Beginning October 1st, guests will be able to watch new character cavalcades, see all four park icons transform into “beacons of magic” at night, and even visit brand-new dining experiences. We already knew that California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort was getting a special 50th Anniversary dining experience, but that won’t be all that guests have to look forward to now!
Disney has announced that a NEW restaurant, Steakhouse 71, will be opening at Disney’s Contemporary Resort this year!

Steakhouse 71 will take over the former location of The Wave (which closed this summer for renovations) and will be a new “casual-themed dining concept” that is named after when the resort opened in 1971.

In the announcement, Disney also shared that the new 50th Anniversary dining experience coming to California Grill will be available “later this year” and will feature a “limited-time menu with items inspired by the restaurant’s history.” So, we’ll be on the lookout for more information!

Disney has yet to reveal more details about the menu at the new restaurant, but we will continue to keep an eye out for updates. And, in the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney news!
