Just days before the full reopening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, we’re back at the reopened restaurant downstairs!

Boma — Flavors of Africa is one of our favorite spots to eat, and we’re excited that it is back and serving up buffet-style dining for the first time in Disney World since last March. We’re here to try out the dinner eats and to show you what’s available!
We’ve already had a first look at what the restaurant is like now, but it’s time to discuss the real reason we’re here…the FOOD. Here’s what you can find on the buffet line!
Salads and Soups
There are plenty of options for salads and soup including a create-your-own salad option with Mixed Garden Greens, Chili Cilantro Vinaigrette, Cucumber, Onions, Tomatoes, Lentils, Chickpeas, Feta Cheese, and Buttermilk Dressing along with a few other salad fixings!

Creating your own salad not your thing? You can choose from pre-made options like Pasta Salad, Kool Slaw, Berbere Chickpea Salad, Tabbouleh Salad, North African Cauliflower Salad, and Tunisian Couscous and Shrimp Salad!

There were also plenty of soups to choose from, with options including fan-favorite Butternut Squash Soup, Ghanian Oxtail Stew, and Sambal Chicken Corn Chowder!

Now, it’s time for the entrees!
Entrees and Sides
As far as meats go, we have several options like Pork Ribs, Senegalese Yassa-Style Salmon, African-Spiced Strip Loin, Durban Rotisserie Chicken, and Lamb Bobotie.

The Durban Rotisserie Chicken definitely looked delicious during our trip to Boma!

In terms of sides, along with the soups and salads, there was a bread service with French Rolls, Cornbread, and a selection of spreads and hummuses!

If you’re looking for something refreshing during your Boma food coma, there’s also plenty of fruit!

Kids’ Cooking Pod
In offerings for the little ones, we spotted Pasta and Meatballs, Mac & Cheese, and Chicken Bites! This is definitely great for the picky eaters out there who aren’t interested in the more adventurous aspects of Boma.

Now, let’s check out the dessert!
Desserts
Of course, we can’t forget about the best selection of all — the desserts! We think we’ll start things off with a classic, the Zebra Domes!

If you’re not a Zebra Domes superfan there were plenty of other dessert options including Kenyan Coffee Tarts, Pineapple Financiers, and Passion Fruit Mousse!

That’s everything you can expect to find at the Boma buffet during your next dinner reservation! Stay tuned to AllEars for more news and updates from around Walt Disney World, including the dining info that you need to know.
