Liberty Square Riverboat Closing for Refurbishment in Magic Kingdom

This month is going to be a big one for Disney World!

It’s a busy month!

Halloween festivities kick off in Magic Kingdom, plus more shows, restaurants, and resorts are reopening! But if you’re planning on stopping by in the next few weeks, there’s a ride closure you should know about.

At Magic Kingdom, Liberty Square Riverboat will soon undergo a short refurbishment. The ride will be closed to guests from August 23rd-August 31st.

This is a very short window of time, so it’s likely that this is just general maintenance. The ride had a large-scale refurbishment a few months ago when the Rivers of America were completely drained, closing down the riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island for a while.
