In the past few months, Disney has released Pixar’s Luca on Disney+ free with any subscription, plus both Cruella and Black Widow were released in theaters and with Disney+ Premier Access. And, soon Disney’s newest movie, Jungle Cruise will be available on both as well. But, even with the success of recent movies, COVID-19 is still a growing concern in some counties and Disney has shared an update about an upcoming movie conference.

According to Yahoo, executives and stars from The Walt Disney Company will no longer be attending CinemaCon in Las Vegas this year due to COVID-19 concerns.

The conference is set to take place from August 23rd to 26th at Caesars Palace, which is located in Clar County, NV. But, the county has recently seen a spike in COVID-19 cases (particularly the Delta variant), which has led Disney to opt to forego the conference.

Currently, Disney is still planning to screen a movie at the conference and there is a chance that they will host a virtual presentation instead of an in-person one that weekend.
