When you’re looking at Disney World hotels, it can be hard to choose where to stay!

There are so many good options, so we’re breaking down the best parts of Disney World’s Moderate resorts to try and make it a little easier for you!
We’re looking at just the moderate resorts for right now and that includes Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside, Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort!
All of these resorts have a lot of great features, but we’re looking at what we think is the biggest perk of staying at each resort!
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
When you’re looking at the best part of staying at Caribbean Beach, you might think of the laid-back vibes or the mini beaches…

…but we think the biggest perk of staying at Caribbean Beach is that it’s on the Skyliner system! It’s actually got one of the biggest stops on the Skyliner, with routes to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. Caribbean Beach is the only moderate hotel on the Skyliner’s lines, so if you’re looking for a beautiful place to stay with easy transportation to two Disney parks, this would be a really good choice!
Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside
This resort was inspired by rural Louisiana and has two distinct sections for guests to stay in: the elegant mansions at Magnolia Bend, or the quaint country cottages of Alligator Bayou.

We love the pool area at this resort, but the feature that won out as the best draw for Port Orleans – Riverside was the princess rooms at Magnolia Bend!

The rooms are beautifully decorated and themed after the Disney princesses! Little details like the Magic Carpet rug, princess-crown blankets, and magic lamp faucets make it a super fun themed experience! Staying here makes us feel like royalty!
Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter
If Riverside is too country for you, the French Quarter is another option! It’s themed after the city life in Louisiana, with beautiful architecture and the most amazing food!

After all, how could a Resort inspired by New Orleans’ French Quarter not have the best food? The beignets here are just to die for, and they have other Louisiana classics like shrimp and grits, jambalaya, and gumbo!

And a quick honorable mention for this resort: Disney Springs is connected to the resort by a boat ride, so late night trips into the Springs are so much easier and you won’t have to wait for a bus!
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Coronado Springs is built around a 15-acre lake, Lago Dorado, and the buildings have influences from South American and Southwest culture. The resort showcases beautiful architecture and landscaping, but the best part is one specific building in the resort: the Gran Destino Tower!

Gran Destino Tower is Coronado Springs’ newest addition, and it’s basically a deluxe resort hiding in a moderate one! The tower has a super luxurious feel with a lot of modern touches and delicious dining!

It does cost extra to upgrade to the Gran Destino Tower from normal Coronado Springs rooms, but it’s still not Deluxe prices, and we think the extra luxury is worth the upcharge!
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
If you want to be a little more self-sufficient on your Disney stay, the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness offer a full kitchen (with utensils and dishes!) and a little more room than a normal resort hotel.

In our opinion, the best part of staying at the Cabins is all the extra activities that are nearby! Tri-Circle-D is a barn that offers horseback riding, there are campfire sing-alongs open to all guests, and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a really popular dinner show. If you’re planning to spend a little more time at your resort, the Cabins at Fort Wilderness would be a good option, with more space and a lot of activities to offer!
