Universal Studios Is Creating New Technology to Reduce Motion Sickness on Rides!

Universal Studios Orlando, like many other theme parks, is constantly evolving!  New rides, new parks, new everything is coming to Universal Studios!

With rides at Universal Studios Orlando and theme parks around the world becoming more and more intense, it’s no surprise that Universal is coming up with new technology to make the experience more enjoyable.

The Orlando Sentinel reported that Universal Studios recently filed a patent for new anti-motion sickness technology in order to keep up with the increasing intensity of thrill rides at Universal Studios Orlando!

The Velocicoaster at Islands of Adventure

The technology will utilize a forced-air system built into a ride restraints to help reverse motion sickness! Forced air aimed at the rider’s face will help minimize motion sickness and create a better ride experience.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong at Universal Orlando

Since the technology would be part of the restraint, old forced-air systems would eventually be replaced on many of Universal’s rollercoasters, making motion sickness less likely on popular attractions at Universal Studios.

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man in Universal Orlando

This new technology is being patented ahead of Universal Studios Orlando’s Epic Universe Park, a new theme park featuring Nintendo World coming to Universal Studios soon. That means we could see this new technology in the park!
