Over the past few weeks, we’ve witnessed some major changes taking place at Disney World when it comes to their health and safety guidelines. With the CDC changing its recommendations on distancing and face mask wearing for fully vaccinated individuals, Disney World has now made face masks optional for fully vaccinated guests and has all but eliminated their distancing protocols in the parks and resorts.

We’ve been exploring Disney’s Hollywood Studios this afternoon, and we noticed that Single Rider has started to return to some of the park’s rides.
We noticed the change at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

We spotted this change as we approached the entrance to the ride. (these signs are hard to capture on camera, but if you look closely you’ll see that “Single Rider” is illuminated!). We confirmed with a Cast Member that Single Rider was indeed an option that guests can use once again!

On Disney World’s website, verbiage has been updated that removed Single Rider as one of the park offerings currently on “pause” — indicating that we may see more Single Rider options throughout all four theme parks!

We haven’t seen Single Rider return to every ride as of this writing, so we’ll be on the lookout for the return of this convenient planning tool to even more rides and attractions in the coming days and weeks across Disney World!

Best news in a long time! As someone who occasionally goes to WDW by themselves, always use the single rider line! More attractions/rides should really have them.
Great news! The single rider lines at both Disney and Universal are hacks that very few people utilize. We have been able to walk on Expedition Everest, Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, and Forbidden Journey multiple times in a row as a group using single rider, and usually wind up on the same train or car.
