Last year Disney announced that they would be hosting the Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games for the first time ever at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Disney World this September.

The event brings together hundreds of competitors from the United States Armed Forces and ally nations to compete in adaptive sports like wheelchair basketball, indoor rowing, cycling, and more. And, though the venue will be new, one tradition will be carried on at the event this year.
Today, Disney announced that Jon Stewart will be joining the DoD Warrior Games as the host of the opening and closing ceremonies on both September 12th and 22nd. He has been hosting these ceremonies for the past 5 years (starting in 2015), so it is exciting to see him returning once again!

The event will be open to the public in Disney World and will feature 12 adaptive sports competitions including sitting volleyball, powerlifting, wheelchair basketball, archery, track, and field.

Disney has not yet released information on ticketing for the event, but we will be sure to keep an eye out for updates! Be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
