Construction seems to be never-ending in Disney World recently as the parks prepare for all the 50th anniversary festivities!

As various resorts and parks have continued to make modifications, the Monorails themselves have even gotten a bit of a refurbishment to promote newer health and safety regulations.

While Monorail Orange wasn’t operational for a bit of time, it has since resumed service in Disney World! And there are a few updates inside the cars that will change guests’ experiences.

Previously, the Monorail’s standing and sitting room was more open to guests. However, there are now plastic barriers installed throughout the cars to allow more guests to sit safely apart from one another.

Monorail Orange also got an extra pop of color with the name of the line against the designated color inside the car to match the strip along the outside.

Along the sides of the cars, there are also other health and safety measures like an emergency intercom and fire extinguisher.

While this Monorail is running from the Magic Kingdom to resorts around the area, it is currently not going to EPCOT or Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort as their stations are under refurbishment.
