Tomorrow is the official opening day of Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure, and we’re ready to have a SUPER time!
We’ve already gotten a glimpse at some of the new things coming to the land, like the food, the characters, and the rides. Last night was the opening ceremony, and it came with its own surprises, including an appearance by a very special superhero!
Anthony Mackie (who plays Falcon/new Captain America in the MCU) dropped by last night’s opening ceremony, and he brought a special gift with him — the Captain America shield!
After a heartfelt speech, Mackie handed the shield off to his own character, crowning him as the new Captain America. Included in his speech was the announcement that “New Cap” will be meeting guests in Avengers Campus!
We already know that Steve Rogers’ Captain America will greet guests as well, so it looks like we’re going to have two Captain Americas in the land! We’re definitely excited to see Sam Wilson out and about in action.
