Sometimes rides, stores, or hotels will undergo construction in Disney World.

Here at AllEars, we keep you posted on all those closures! So today, we’re bringing you a refurbishment update on all the attractions that will be unavailable from May 31st-June 6th, 2021.
Magic Kingdom Refurbishments
Walt Disney World Railroad
It’s been over 2 years since we’ve been able to circle around Magic Kingdom on the Walt Disney World Railroad! Construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run is currently blocking the tracks, making this ride unavailable.

This TRON construction has reportedly been delayed, which could impact when the Railroad will reopen. Disney hasn’t announced that reopening date yet, but we’ll keep an eye out!

The Hall of Presidents
Meanwhile, in Liberty Square, the Hall of Presidents is closed to install an audio-animatronic for President Joe Biden. This refurb happens every time a new president is elected!

Again, there’s no announced opening date as of now. But we’ll let you know once there is!

Main Street Confectionery
Lastly, Main Street Confectionery is currently undergoing refurbishment. That means this sweet shop is closed, with no set reopening date.

In the meantime, Main Street Cinema is serving up all of Main Street Confectionery’s goodies. You can head over there for any sweet treats!

Disney World Resort Refurbishments
Disney’s Magic Kingdom area hotels are getting some TLC, too! At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the entryway, lobby, and monorail station are all being refurbished. And the guest rooms are also getting a new look, inspired by Moana. You’ll be able to stay in them starting this July, and you can make your reservation now!

And over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the Main Tower Guest Rooms are being refurbished. While these rooms are unavailable for booking, the rest of the hotel remains open. The construction shouldn’t affect your visit!

Disney hasn’t stated exactly what’s being changed about these rooms, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
