We have been waiting for what feels like a lifetime to finally get a sequel to Hocus Pocus.
We’ve known about Disney conjuring up plans for a sequel for Disney+, and we’ve been impatiently waiting for more news, including the all-important — when are we finally going to see this sequel?
Well, we’re happy to report that Disney has officially announced that Hocus Pocus 2 is set to land on Disney+ NEXT YEAR in 2022. And we won’t lie — this news has us wanting to run amuck, amuck, amuck in the streets with joy!
Anne Fletcher is directing the new film, with Adam Shankman as executive producer. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy are returning as the Sanderson Sisters. Production begins in the fall.
There’s no word on what story the sequel will cover, but we can’t wait to revisit the witchy sisters and see what they’ve been up to. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more info. comes in about the new film.

How are they still alive?? They have already died twice??????? Can you believe it has been 28 years since the first movie came out back in 1993?
I wonder how they are going to bring the Sanderson sisters back this time!!!! They were all killed at the end of the first movie!!!! Hide the children the Sanderson Sisters are coming back to suck their lives again!!!!!! I wonder if Max and his sister are coming back for the sequel!!!!! Someone has to stop those evil witches!!!
I am Very excited about this movie. I have watched it every year since ut came out!!! Now its a Halloween tradition with my Son. I lobed the stage show it Disney. Sarah is my Favorite!!! Come little children, i’ll take thee away!!! I sing it every time I hear it.
