We love to take a ride on the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros in the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT!

Between the music, the smells, and the scenery, there’s just something that keeps us coming back for more. But, sadly, the stars of the ride who close out the tour have been missing for a VERY long time — until now!
First Jose disappeared, then there was Plant Donald, then all three became cardboard cutouts, and now the saga has finally come to a close as all three animatronics are back to their singing and dancing!

Disney Imagineer, Zach Riddley shared the news on Instagram today, explaining why Donald, Panchito, and Jose needed to take a short hiatus.

The animatronics actually debuted as part of the Mickey Mouse Revue attraction at Magic Kingdom on the opening day of the park where they joined almost 100 other Disney characters who sang iconic Disney songs along the ride. After the attraction closed in 1980, the crew traveled over to Tokyo Disneyland where they were part of another opening day attraction. And, they eventually made their way back to Disney World in 2015 to join the Gran Fiesta Tour — so it was about time for some TLC!

We are so happy to see them restored and back in their home at the Mexico Pavilion and can’t wait to take visit them on our next ride! Stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!
