Things We Take for Granted in Disney World

Disney World is all about the magic for fans of all ages.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

While the atmosphere itself lends to the memories that everyone can create, the proof is in the pudding. And, Disney focuses on even the smallest details that many people might take for granted when they are visiting the parks!

Transitions Across the Parks

Disney pays attention to all the nitty, gritty details, especially when you walk between various lands in the parks. The Imagineers have purposely incorporated color, plants, architecture, music, and more to make the transition seamless. The scenery blends together whether you are going from Main Street, U.S.A. into Adventureland or you’re entering Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge from other parts of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The next time you’re in the parks, see if you can spot some of the transitions  that Disney has integrated!

Minimal Amount of Bugs

It may not seem like a HUGE deal in the grand scheme of things, but have you noticed Disney World has very minimal bugs? The team that manages the parks pays attention to the insects far and wide, making sure that they don’t interrupt guests’ days to the best of their ability. You might find love bugs during certain seasons, but for the most party, Disney has maintained a pretty bug-free environment.

And, we are VERY thankful for the fact we don’t have to brave the smell of insect repellant on a regular basis when we’re on a Disney vacation!

Ease of Transportation

Some Disney Parks and Resorts are farther apart than others. But, Disney World makes it extremely easy to make your way around the entire property without driving back and forth! There are multiple forms of transportation, including buses, ferries, Monorails, trams, Skyliners, and more so guests can travel anywhere with ease.

Plus, you can still use Disney’s transportation methods, even if you park your car in the parking lot! And, at the end of the day, you can just return back to your car without moving it. If you’re staying at a resort, though, you can totally get by without renting a car since there are so many kinds of Disney transportation.

Intricate Gardening

Disney World’s greenery makes the atmosphere all that more magical! But, many guests don’t realize the painstaking detail that the horticulture team puts into the property. Flower companies partner with Disney to make hybrids that will last in the Florida sun, even when it’s extremely hot. Disney also spares no expense to upkeep its property as they will consistently replace the dead plants with new ones.

Disney also pays attention to the appearance of their greenery, using plenty of colors and shapes that are aesthetic.

Designed Smells

Smellitzers are some of the most unique inventions in Disney World as certain scents are pumped into areas of the parks. Many people don’t realize just how many incredible smells are around the park that make the atmosphere more believable. You might recognize the smell of candy and popcorn as you walk down Main Street, U.S.A., briny water on Pirates of the Caribbean, apple pie during Mickey’s PhilharMagic, and citrus, ginger, and green tea at the Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

But, those don’t even scratch the surface because there are SO many more Smellitzers that we daydream about on a regular basis!

Cast Members

Last, but certainly not least, the Cast Members deserve all the credit in the world for their amazing guest service and people skills. The Cast Members make the Disney Parks the magical environment they are by helping to fulfill requests, fix problems, and overall make the parks joyful. Disney wouldn’t be the same without their happy hearts and helpful hands. And, even if we could thank them every day for just being themselves, it wouldn’t be enough!
