Disneyland Paris has revealed some big news lately about everything that’s in store for the parks!
We’re talking about the new Marvel hotel, a refresh to the Sleeping Beauty Castle, Avengers Campus, and a whole lot more! But, there’s another feature coming to Disneyland Paris that’s not theme park related!
We previously reported that a new vaccination site will be added outside of Disneyland Paris’ Newport Bay Club hotel, with Forbes confirming it will start on April 24th. The site will be operated on weekends by the local Seine-et-Marne fire department under the authority of the French health authorities. Currently, the goal is to vaccinate 1,000 people a day every Saturday and Sunday.
Although the vaccination site is on Disney property, the company itself isn’t involved in actually administering the vaccines. A similar situation occurred in California as a vaccination site was placed in a Disneyland Resort parking lot back in January. Disneyland Paris is closed at the moment as France has experienced a spike in cases as of late.

Since the end of the article asked for comments on Disneyland Paris…
I made a trip to France specifically to go to Disneyland Paris. It was only later that I learned that Disney does not own the resort, and is only a partner in its operation. Overall, it was a letdown. I was expecting WDW-level quality and customer service, and I got neither.
For example, in Disneyland CA, the Indiana Jones-themed ride is a world class motion simulator. In WDW, the Indiana Jones attraction is a world class stunt show. In Paris, it’s a cheap old-fashioned rollerr coaster with painted flats as a backdrop. It wasn’t a bad ride per se, but it was not on the order of what I’ve encountered in CA and WDW, and not worthy of the Disney brand.
Similarly, I’ve only been in line for one ride in WDW that broke down, Thunder Mountain. There was a short delay, and then the cast members made an announcement that the ride was down for an indeterminate length of time, and that everyone in line would be a FastPass good for any ride. When the Paris Pirates ride broke down while I was in line, however, we waited half an hour with no one saying anything, and when there was an announcement, it was basically “Clear the ride!” Forget the idea of getting the French to speak English when I asked a question: wasn’t gonna happen.
I would say that if you’re a huge Disney fan, planning to be in Paris, and you can spare a day, it’s worth the short trip to see for yourself and soak up a little fake Disney magic. If you’d have to go out of your way at all to make it happen, don’t bother.
