There are quite a few new attractions coming to Disney World in the next year!

We already know that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open in EPCOT later this year, and two new roller coasters are well underway with no official opening date just yet. We’ve been keeping track of the progress on the new rides, and we just got another look at the newest ride coming to Magic Kingdom!
Disney announced that the popular Disneyland Shanghai attraction, TRON Lightcycle Run would be coming to Walt Disney World back in 2017. The ride was originally planned to open this year for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations, but construction was reportedly delayed due to the ongoing health crisis.

Disney has been back at work on the rollercoaster, and thanks to Attractions Magazine, we can now see the structure taking shape in the latest ariel view!

Here you can get a good look at the large outdoor canopy that will eventually light up with color as the ride vehicles make their way through the world of Tron and, it is massive. Just compare it to the already existing home of Space Mountain next door!

And, to get a sense of how high this structure is. you can also get a peek of the canopy over Tomorrowland!

Once open, the new ride will take guests on a high-speed adventure through Tron’s high-tech universe aboard a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles. Disney has not yet shared an update on when the attraction is anticipated to open, but we will continue to keep our eye out for updates! So stay tuned for the latest!
