How Early Can You Get Into Magic Kingdom? We Tested it Out.

Ever since Disney World reopened without FastPasses, we’ve been looking for the best ways to enjoy all of our favorite rides without the long wait times!

One of the easiest solutions to the problem is to arrive at the parks early. We’ve been testing out each park to see how early they’ll let you in, and how much you can do! We’re testing that out at Magic Kingdom to see what we can do!

We arrived at Magic Kingdom’s parking entrance at 7:05AM. The park opening was scheduled for 8AM, so we were nearly an hour early. There was already a line of cars backed up at the toll plaza. (We did get to enjoy a lovely sunrise, though!)

Good morning from the line to park!

The line started moving through to parking at 7:15AM. We certainly weren’t the only ones trying to get into Magic Kingdom early!  There was quite the crowd at the Transportation and Ticket Center, but it is Spring Break, after all.

The mob headed to temperature checks.

Once we made it through the temperature checks, we had a decision to make: do we take the Monorail, the bus, or the ferry?

Monorail, ferry, or bus? What should we do?

Since we’re trying to get into the park as quickly as possible, we decided on the bus! By this point, it was 7:37AM, leaving us only about 20 minutes before park opening. Keep in mind that it takes extra time to get into Magic Kingdom because you have to go through the TTC.

The buses were ready to pick us up!

Within 10 minutes, we were in the park and saying hello to Mickey and pals — the perfect way to start our day!

Aren’t they just so adorable?

We made our way back to Splash Mountain to start out the day, considering the lines for this ride can get pretty long. Unfortunately, the opening was delayed, so after waiting a few minutes, we got out of line.

It’s okay, we’ll come back later!

Instead, we made our way over to Pirates of the Caribbean and we were able to knock out that queue in a few short minutes. In fact, we found fairly short wait times in that first hour, and we were even able to come back and visit Splash Mountain once it opened for the day!

It’s open now!

We felt so accomplished with everything we were able to get done first thing in the morning that we even had some time to chill on the hub grass with iced coffee. This really is the best day ever!

Oh yeah, we could get used to this.

So, if you’re trying to make the most of your day in Magic Kingdom, it looks like arriving at the parking entrance about an hour before park opening time should do the trick! Depending on what day you come, you may see smaller crowds and be able to get into the park a little quicker than we did. Either way, you’ll get to enjoy some time in the morning with the shorter wait times — we think it’s worth it.
