The 5 BEST Things We Ate in Disney World This Week!

It’s been another full week at Walt Disney World!

Magic Kingdom Cinderella Castle

And, we wouldn’t be doing it right if we didn’t fill the week with lots of eating and drinking! We’re a little embarrassed to admit how much chocolate we ate this past week between all the Easter treats, but we somehow fit in more! So, we’re bringing you the highlights with the 5 BEST things we ate this week!

Here are the BEST things we ate this week in Disney World!

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Petit Cake

Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs is back at it again with the Marvel petit cakes! These little cakes were initially made in honor of the decades through WandaVisionand we’re happy to see them back for the next Disney+ Marvel show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The new petit cake is decked out in Captain America colors and says “Who will wield the shield” on the top.

We’re all wondering…

It is made with chocolate chiffon cake, dark chocolate mousse, raspberry pate de fruit, raspberry mousse, and white chocolate crisp pearls. There were a lot of different textures packed into the cake, but we really enjoyed it! The chocolate and raspberry flavors paired really well together and we were happy we had it all to ourselves! That being said, it is big enough to share.

YUM

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Petit Cake costs $20 and is only available in Disney Springs until March 28th. But, we’re hoping that they keep making new versions as the series goes on!

Hazelnut Spread-Stuffed French Toast

A fan-favorite character breakfast returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this week so we stopped in for a visit with some old Disney friends! Hollywood & Vine has reopened for the Play ‘n Dine breakfast where you can meet Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, Fancy Nancy, and Goofy! Included in the meal is your choice of six different dishes so we decided to give the Hazelnut Spread-stuffed French Toast. And, spoiler alert, it was a winner!

This thing was RICH!

It features hazelnut spread, bananas, and caramel bananas foster syrup served with a side of bacon or country sausage. We had just finished chowing down on all the Caramel Monkey Bread, Croissants, and Mini Muffins in the Pastry Basket but we HAD to find room for more when this arrived at our table! The meal costs $42 per adult plus tax and gratuity, and $27 per child.

S’mores Brownie

Our next favorite snack from the week takes us over to EPCOT. Regal Eagle Smokehouse has brought back one of the most chocolatey treats around — the S’mores Brownie!

S’mores Brownie

This giant brownie is very rich and sweet so it is definitely a dessert to reach for if you’re craving a sugar overload! It is available for $4.99 and could definitely be split by two (or more)!

Boozy Bourbon Bunny

Disney World was packed with Easter treats this week, so we tried them all and picked out one of our favorites — the Boozy Bourbon Bunny. You can find this specialty treat at The Ganachery in Disney Springs and it is one of the most unexpected snacks we’ve seen yet! The chocolate bunny is filled with a bourbon chocolate drink that is house-made with chocolate, milk, cream, vanilla bean, bourbon and a pinch of salt.

Boozy bunny? OKAY

So, you can both drink AND eat this guy! Plus, it’s served in a bunny box to prevent it from melting in the Florida heat and comes with a straw for your sipping pleasure. We really liked both the drink and the chocolate so this treat was an all-around win in our books! But, it didn’t come cheap — the boozy bunny is $15, and $12 if you’d like a non-alcoholic version.

Raspberry and Orange Swirl Dole Whip

You probably know by now that we’re big fans of Dole Whip, so we make it a habit to stop by Pineapple Lanai in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to pick up a frozen treat. And, this week we tried a new flavor combination and got a Raspberry and Orange Swirl Dole Whip cup.

A new-to-us SWIRL!

We are happy to report that we thought this combination is delicious! The flavor reminded us a lot of a creamsicle and the orange flavor stood out a bit more over the raspberry. It was just the afternoon treat that we needed on a warm Florida day and cost $4.99.

We’re surprised that we can still walk after all that sugar this week but, hey, it was a lot of fun! Maybe we’ll think about trying something with vegetables…maybe. In the meantime, stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!

    1. It’s why Disney World is a perfect vacation. Anything you eat is quickly burned off during the 10+ miles of daily walking.
