(If you read any of our WandaVision articles, you know what we mean.) Today, we got news regarding a new show coming to Disney+, and it’s one we’re really excited about!
According to Deadline, a new National Treasure TV series has been greenlighted for the streaming platform, created by the same writers and producer from the original films. It’s a reimagining of the original franchise that will be directed by Mira Nair.
The show will be told from the point of Jess Morales, a 20-year-old woman who sets off to uncover her family’s strange history and search for hidden treasure with the help of her diverse group of friends. She will be the franchise’s new protagonist, taking over for Nicolas Cage’s character, Benjamin Gates.

Would much rather they close out the original series with the returning actors as they left us hanging. Then, they can create the TV series.
I agree, and there was a rumor that a third movie was being considered. we can only hope.
They are making a third National Treasure for theaters with the original cast (thankfully). This new younger cast is for the Disney+ tv series.
