Tips and Tricks to Get the Most Popular Treat in Disney Springs!

When we crave cookies in Disney World, we crave Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs!

Gideon’s Original Chocolate Chip Cookie

We just can’t pass up one of the one-pound cookies or giant slices of cakes that you can find at the bakery. But, we’re not the only ones who love Gideon’s Bakehouse, because the line is usually so long!

As one of the most popular spots in Disney Springs, Gideon’s Bakehouse shared some helpful tips and tricks to getting your cookies on their Facebook page! Since Gideon’s has gained so much hype (rightfully so), the bakery now has stated that it almost has to operate like a “theme park ride.”

Gideon’s Bakehouse

Gideon’s Bakehouse opens at 10AM, but according to the bakery’s post the line begins to form around 9AM when the parking garages open in Disney Springs. After the line gets too long, Gideon’s switches to a Virtual Queue. That way, the bakery can continue to abide by distancing measures as guests walk around the shopping and dining district, waiting for their return text.

Cookies, Coffee, and a Frosting Cup

On weekdays, the Virtual Queue can start anytime from open until lunch based on the crowd levels. Yet, the weekend can cause the Virtual Queue to start MUCH earlier (possibly even right as it opens). After you receive your return text, the line to enter usually averages around 15 minutes, according to Gideon’s. Guests must sign up for the queue in person next to the bridge in front of Morimoto Asia.

Virtual Waitlist Queue

In their post, Gideon’s highlights that the wait times for the Virtual Queue can last two hours on week days, while Fridays through Sundays average at about five hours. Of course, the earlier the arrival means the shorter the wait. Gideon’s Bakehouse usually closes its queue around 6PM to 7PM each day to make sure the previous guests are accommodated and that the bakery can close on time.

The Disney Springs location doesn’t have delivery, shipping, or pre-orders. However, you can take a trip outside of Disney World to pre-order treats at the original store in East End Market that’s 20 miles into Orlando.
