The start of Florida’s hurricane season is just over 3 months away.

Hurricane season usually runs from June 1st through November 30th, and we’ve already shared our tips for planning your trips accordingly. Now, this year’s hurricane names have been shared and they feel a little…familiar.
Ahead of hurricane season for 2021, the National Hurricane Center has already released a list of 21 names expected to represent upcoming storms this year, as shared by FOX 35 News. And, you might see some familiar names on the list!

A few of the hurricanes have a slight nod to Disney’s most popular franchises with names we know all too well from Frozen and WandaVision.

Upcoming storms are expected to have the names Elsa, Ana (even though it’s spelled “Anna” in Frozen), and Wanda! Now, we’re not entirely sure that meteorologists were inspired by Disney, but we’d like to think it’s more than a coincidence three characters’ names appeared on the 2021 list! ?

As hurricane season begins in Florida and more predictions are released, we’ll be sure to update you on everything you need to know! Stay tuned with AllEars for more Disney news!

I imagine this article was tongue in cheek however…
The same list of Tropical Storm/Hurricane names are reused every six years. Particular storms have their names retired. Ana and Wanda have been on the list for multiple cycles. Elsa replaced Erika for this cycle.
So I doubt there was a Disney influence
Our very first trip was the week if Hurricane Erin in 1995. You couldn’t get out I f your room until about 3:00 pm because the wind was so strong. They delayed opening the parks until that afternoon. Trees were down everywhere. It rained everywhere but we still had fun that week. Luckily we had snack foods to eat while we were room bound.
