Think you know everything that there is to know about Magic Kingdom? We put our Instagram followers’ smarts to the test in our stories recently, asking some tricky trivia questions about Disney World’s flagship park!

See how many of these fun facts about Magic Kingdom you knew!

We kicked things off by asking, “Which of these is the fastest? Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, or Splash Mountain?”

Splash Mountain

This question ended up stumping many of our followers! The correct answer is Splash Mountain! Just shy of HALF of those responded guessed Space Mountain, but that final drop on Splash Mountain clocks in at a faster speed!

Splash Mountain

Space Mountain might seem faster because you’re in the dark, but that indoor roller coaster actually tops out at speeds of 35 miles per hour — and on the final drop on Splash Mountain, you’re moving at 40 miles per hour!

Next up, we asked, “Which of these has the tallest height requirement? Tomorrowland Speedway (to drive), Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad?”

Tomorrowland Speedway

Space Mountain turned out to stump a lot of our followers again! Over 50% of followers guessed Space Mountain, but the correct answer is Tomorrowland Speedway at 54 inches! Note that you must be 54″ to drive ALONE in a car — you must be 32 inches to drive a car with another guest who is at least 54 inches tall. The height requirement on Space Mountain is 44 inches tall.

Question three read, “How tall is Cinderella Castle? 169 feet, 189 feet, 199 feet, or 209 feet?”

Cinderella Castle

Most of those who responded got this question correct! Cinderella Castle is 189 feet tall! It may seem a bit taller than that, thanks to the forced perspective illusion created along Main Street, U.S.A.

Up next, we asked, “Walt Disney has 2 windows. One is on the Train Station, where’s the other?” The options were the Ice Cream Parlor, Casey’s Corner, City Hall, or Town Square Theater.

Walter E. Disney / Graduate School of Design and Master Planning

The correct answer is the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor! Did you know that many of the windows along Main Street, U.S.A. include the names of prominent figures who helped make Disney World a reality? See how many you can spot on your next visit to Magic Kingdom!

The next question was, “Where can you find nods to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea?” Each possible answer had two attractions! Options were Winnie the Pooh & Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Under the Sea & Winnie the Pooh, Under the Sea & Haunted Mansion, and Haunted Mansion & Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

The correct pair is Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh! Over at Under the Sea, guests can find a rock carving in the queue that resembles the Nautilus, and at Winnie the Pooh, you can spot a Nautilus carving in the Tree House! There are nods to the original 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction at Haunted Mansion in Disneyland, but remember that this was a Magic Kingdom quiz!

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Up next was another trick question! We asked “Which of these is NOT the name of a steam engine on the Walt Disney World Railroad?” The four options were Walter E. Disney, Roy E. Disney, Roger E. Broggie, and The Lilly Belle.

Walt Disney World Railroad

The steam engine that does NOT exist is the Roy E. Disney! You would have to be very savvy and pay super close attention to get this question right! Remember that the correct name is Roy O. Disney, not E! There is, of course, a steam engine named Roy O. Disney. Most who responded guessed Roger E. Broggie — Roger was considered to be Walt Disney’s first Imagineer!

Train in Fantasyland Station

The next question asked, “Which of these is NOT an opening day attraction?” The four options were Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Dumbo!

Pirates of the Caribbean

The correct answer is Pirates of the Caribbean! The vast majority of those who took the quiz got this question correct! While the other three attractions opened on October 1st, 1971, Pirates of the Caribbean didn’t join the park for over two years! The ride opened on December 15th, 1973.
