The world looks a lot different in 2021 — but what does Walt Disney World look like? Molly is headed to all four theme parks to explore “the new normal.”

From masks and safety guidelines to modified entertainment, she’ll be helping answer YOUR biggest questions — “Should I go to Disney World this year?” and “Is Disney World still fun?”
We have been twice in 6 months. The latest was at the end of January. Yes, the masks are a pain, but we had a great time. The biggest reason we have done this twice is that the prices are affordable, the crowds are low, it’s easy to get on even usually very busy rides, and airfare is unbelievably low. In September we stayed at Caribbean Beach, and loved the access to Hollywood studios by Skyliner. The second time in January, we bought a friends VC points and stayed at the Polynesian. Really loved that. The buses were a bit unpredictable, but mostly we did ok. If you like low crowds, now is the time to go. It made the trip very unstressful and fun.
Thanks for the video. We’ve been planning to return early December 2021 (last visit was Dec. 2018) but given all the changes for right now, it’s hard to tell if that would be the trip we’ve imagined. We may wind up waiting.
That was an excellent, comprehensive summary of all the info I needed on what the parks are like right now. Thank you for putting it together!
We went to WDW last week. We are both in our 60’s and had a fantastic time! We loved the lighter crowds and lines. We walked right onto Pirates – that never happens. And we did get on Rise of the Resistance but we had to make a reservation. Epcot was so nice and quiet and the art festival was wonderful.
Thank you, Molly, for a very helpful video. It really put the changes in perspective for me. And yes, it will be worth it no matter how many hurdles we have to jump through. One thing I did learn recently is the new Cirque de Soleil show is still on hold. I was told it is because the performers re stuck in Canada. I find that a bit odd as the NHL teams have lots of Canadian (and other European ) players who seem to join their teams in the U.S. . Anything further to add to that? The theatre it is housed in seems capable of managing performances with social distancing.
When you fly into Orlando, do you still have to get your luggage and take it to the Magical Express?
