These Disney Attractions Are Surprisingly Popular

When it comes to picking a favorite Disney attraction, there are a lot of them to choose from!

Tower of Terror

Some pick those with big thrills, like Tower of Terror or Expedition Everest. Others go for the Disney classics, like “it’s a small world” and Haunted Mansion. You can often tell which rides are fan-favorites by checking out the wait times and the merchandise offerings, but sometimes under-the-radar Disney attractions have surprisingly large fanbases. We’re taking a look at those attractions today!

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

For a slow-moving ride specifically designed for people-watching, this attraction has a lot of fans! It’s been especially noticeable since the ride has been closed for refurbishment. It was slated to open with Magic Kingdom in July but has since had the reopening date delayed several times.

Oh, how we miss riding through the skies of Tomorrowland, visiting other attractions, and watching the happenings in the park below. We’re not the only ones either, quite a few Disney fans are waiting for this one to reopen — hopefully at the end of February!

Journey Into Imagination With Figment

Who knew a quirky little purple dragon could attract such a massive fan base? If you don’t believe us, just check the amount of Figment merchandise out there. He’s also the mascot for EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts, and we’ve seen plenty of Figment mentions at other EPCOT festivals as well.

Who Ya Gonna Call?? FIGMENT!

His ride has been redone a few times over the years, but Figment himself carries the fanbase for the attraction — plus “One Little Spark” is just so catchy!

Carousel of Progress

And speaking of catchy songs, one of Disney’s most iconic is “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” from Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress. This attraction originally debuted at the 1964-65 World’s Fair and is a great piece of Disney history.

Carousel of Progress

Fans love the classic stage show, likely because of its connection to Walt Disney himself. We can’t imagine a Magic Kingdom without the Carousel of Progress!

Living with the Land

If getting a glimpse into behind-the-scenes at Disney World is your thing, then you may be among those who consider themselves fans of Living with the Land. The ride is pretty unique, as it allows guests to get some background information on Disney’s food — specifically the food they grow themselves.

Living with the Land

Even though the wait time for the slow-moving boat ride through EPCOT’s greenhouses is usually pretty short, many guests count this one as a must-do when you visit the park. In fact, it even gets a holiday makeover!

DINOSAUR

Perhaps one of the most quotable attractions at Disney World, and probably the most quotable at Animal Kingdom is DINOSAUR. With its hilarious pre-show and ridiculous (in a good way) theme, we can’t help but love this time-traveling excursion!

DINOSAUR

For those who aren’t fans of rollercoasters but can handle animatronic dinosaurs and some bouncing around, this may be the perfect thrill ride. Some say it’s too intimidating, but those who like it, really like it.

Jungle Cruise

When it comes to classics, you have to include Magic Kingdom’s Jungle Cruise on the list! This punny boat ride through the waters of the world is a must-do for those who love corny jokes and cheesy animal animatronics.

Jungle Cruise

It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you like to laugh and you’re a fan of Disney history, you should definitely make this a priority. We certainly wouldn’t classify it as thrilling, but you can’t help but adore the charming skippers who bring it to life! It’s such a favorite among Disney fans that it has inspired several merchandise items and its own restaurant.

Country Bear Jamboree

The last pick on our list can be a pretty divisive one. While some people love the animatronic bears and tongue-in-cheek songs of the Country Bear Jamboree, others find it to be pretty weird. Either way, it’s got some seriously dedicated fans!

Country Bear Jamboree

Considering it’s not the most technologically advanced attraction out there, we’re sometimes surprised that the Country Bears have stuck around. But, if Disney ever tried to take it away, the die-hard fans would probably have a conniption!

That wraps up our list of under-the-radar Disney attractions with big fanbases, and we have to say, there are quite a few! It’s sometimes shocking to find out which things are most beloved by guests, but it goes to show that there’s something for nearly everyone at Disney World.
