We love a good park map glow up and Magic Kingdom just got one!

Disney World is an ever-changing place with closures, refurbishments, and new additions and the park maps need to keep up! Recently, we spotted updates to the maps at Animal Kingdom and EPCOT and it looks like Magic Kingdom got in on the makeover!
Out with Dumbo and in with Cinderella Castle! The new park map features a classic view of Walt and Mickey with the updated Cinderella Castle look!

But, the new cover photo is only one of MANY changes to the map. Starting at the bottom of the map, you can now see where the walkway to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa starts. The walkway opened in the Fall and offers another convenient way to get to the Magic Kingdom for those staying at a resort on the monorail line.

Taking a closer look at the map, TRON Lightscycle Run is still on the map as “now programming.” And, missing from the map now are two attractions — Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor and Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. The interactive game, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cast its last spell on January 24th and were were told it’s expected to remain permanently closed.

And, there are even MORE updates on the new map! When Disney World began reopening in the summer of 2020, many restaurants remained closed. But, many have slowly been reopening and the map has lots of additions reflecting the changes. Dining locations now on the map include Tomorrowland Terrace, Crystal Palace, Westward Ho, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Gaston’s Tavern, Friar’s Nook, and Lunching Pad.

Other noteworthy changes include Bounjour! Village Gifts removed from the map (closed for refurbishment) and the Tomorrowland Terrace Relaxation Station is gone.

We’ll continue to keep you updated with any further changes!

What is the story with Monsters Inc, Laugh Floor? No longer open and not to be? One of my favorite rides in MK.
That is about the worst map rendering I’ve ever seen.
