We’ve all been caught in those random afternoon showers or unexpected temperature drops in the evening during trips to Disney World.

And, if you’re not prepared, the changes in weather can make or break your vacation in the parks. So, it’s important to pack your bags accordingly as you get ready to conquer the crazy winter weather that happens in Florida!
While you’ll need to expect the unexpected, you can also follow these tips and tricks to make sure your Disney World trip goes as smoothly as possible!
Layer Up!
Since the weather can shift from humid and hot to cool and rainy in a New York (well, Florida) minute, you’re going to pack various kinds of clothes in your bag that can be easily cool or warm.

We’re talkin’ jeans, leggings, light long sleeves, and all that jazz in case the weather changes unexpectedly!

If you wear light layers in the park, you can easily take them off or bulk them up, depending on whatever Florida’s “winter” weather decides to do.
Bring Accessories That Will Keep You Nice and Toasty!
On the days that the temperatures drop, you can be prepared with lots of warm accessories that can easily be taken with you into the parks. Adding hats, scarves, and gloves to your daily packing lists before you head into Disney World can be helpful during the colder weather, and they don’t take up much space.

Plus, you can make sure your feet stay warm (even when the concrete gets a lot colder than you’d think it would) by wearing fuzzy socks or lighter boots around the park!
Pack Those Ponchos
Rainy days don’t have to be a bummer when you’re in Disney World! Instead of worrying about the unexpected cold and wet winter weather, make sure to pack a poncho with you before you head to the parks.

While it’s easy to pack and doesn’t take up much space when dry, it also can be wrung out after you use it to put back in your bag throughout the day!
You’ll Need Extra Socks and Shoes
There’s nothing worse than wet shoes and socks after you walk around in afternoon showers or travel down the big hill on Splash Mountain!

In order to avoid squishy shoes all day long, pack a pair of flip flops for water rides or an extra pair of dry shoes and shoes in your backpack, just in case yours get wet.
You Can Never Have Too Many Masks
When you’re hopping on water rides or walking through one of Florida’s famous downpours, your face mask might get soaked along with the rest of your outfit. And, instead of trying to walk around in a wet mask, it’s helpful to bring a few disposable masks specifically meant for water rides or rain.

Once the disposable mask gets wet, you can throw it away after use before putting on a regular mask that’s dry (which we recommend having a few extras on hand with you anyway)! Since you’ll need to wear a mask at all times in Disney World, it’s important to make sure you have a couple of masks with you, just in case!

Even though you might have to pack a bit differently for the rainy, cold, and sunny winter weather in Disney World, it’s still a blast to experience all the entertainment that’s offered throughout the holiday season! And, we’ll be sure to take you with us around the parks during the rest of wintertime in Disney World!
If you could only eat one snack in each Disney Park, you’re going to want to snag these treats!
