Disney is using the streaming platform to release countless new films and shows, and they’re doing pretty great with their subscriber numbers! But with all this content coming to the service, what does that mean for Disney+ as a whole? What is Disney’s goal here? We got a little more insight into those questions tonight!

During tonight’s presentation, Bob Iger (former Walt Disney Company CEO and current Executive Chairman) shared that the success of Disney+ has inspired the company to be more ambitious as a whole. This includes releasing a LOT of content

And when Disney says a lot more titles, they certainly mean it, because Bob Iger then noted that they plan to release more than 100 new original titles each year! Included in this content will be both animation and live action works, and content from Disney’s big franchises: Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and National Geographic.

“We’ve clearly positioned ourselves as the leader in the direct-to-consumer space, and the fact is, we’re just getting started,” said Iger.
