The city of Anaheim, where the Disneyland Resort is located, as well as Orange County just reached a new milestone in its efforts to mitigate the spread of the pandemic.

The city announced on their Twitter account that Anaheim, as well as Orange County, reported single-day record highs for positive cases. The city of Anaheim reported 488 new positive cases today, while Orange County reported 2,613 cases.

The city noted that the region is in the midst of post-Thanksgiving cases coming to fruition. Currently, the new stay-at-home order for Southern California is in effect until December 28th. At that time, the region’s ICU capacity will be assessed to determine whether or not an extended stay-at-home order is necessary.
