NEWS! Florence Pugh, Hailee Steinfeld, and More to Join Marvel’s ‘Hawkeye’

The episodic series Hawkeye will premiere on Disney+ in 2021.

The new series will be based on the character of the same name in the Avengers. Very few details have been released about the new show and it’s unclear exactly when it will premiere in 2021. Earlier today, there was some speculation on casting as Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) was spotted on set with Hailee Steinfeld.

Variety has now confirmed that Steinfeld has indeed joined the cast of Hawkeye. Six other actors were named as part of the cast with Variety noting character casting for each. Hailee Steinfeld will play Kate Bishop, Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Fra Fee as Kazi, Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne, Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez,  Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez, and Florence Pugh will reprise her role as Yelena Belova who is the sister of Black Widow.

Jonathan Igla is set to write and executive produce the series. Hawkeye will join various other MCU series in the works like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and the innovative WandaVision.
