Here’s What YOU Called the Most UNDERRATED Ride in Disney World!

When people are asked to list their favorite Disney World rides, a lot of popular choices often pop up, from classics like Haunted Mansion and  Space Mountain to newer favorites like Rise of the Resistance and Flight of Passage.

But there are also a number of less popular rides that deserve their time in the spotlight! We asked our readers on Facebook to tell us what they think the most underrated ride in Disney World is.

We received hundreds of comments on this question, and while we saw a variety of responses, two attractions came up repeatedly!

Living With the Land

First up is Living With the Land at EPCOT. This leisurely boat ride takes guests through the greenhouses at The Land Pavilion in Future World and shares the work EPCOT is currently doing to improve agricultural methods.

With popular rides in EPCOT like Soarin’, Test Track, and Frozen Ever After, we can’t help but feel that Living With the Land gets unnecessarily overshadowed! It’s a longer attraction at approximately twenty minutes — that’s a LONG break for your tired feet! Not only is this boat ride super chill, but you get a unique look at some of the behind-the-scenes work happening at Disney World every day!

Plus, did you know Living With the Land has its own holiday overlay? Each holiday season, the greenhouse is decorated in festive lighting, which completely transforms the ride after dark!

The second ride that came up repeatedly as being highly underrated is the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, or simply PeopleMover for short. Located in Magic Kingdom, this elevated slow-moving ride is another opportunity to kick back and relax as you travel across Tomorrowland.

Our readers were especially keen to point out the attributes of the PeopleMover. Pamela C. says that it’s “nice to sit back and relax for a while. Even better after dark with all the lights around Tomorrowland,” while Clive B. commented, “We love it. A chance to sit down in shade. A gentle breeze. People watching. A commentary that we know by heart.”

PeopleMover Closed

Lori M. points out one of the most important benefits that the PeopleMover has, in that it “is a good way to rest weary feet.” While the PeopleMover has yet to reopen following Disney World’s grand reopening this past summer, it remains to this day a beloved attraction that even some of Disney’s most popular rides can’t top!

It seems as though Disney World can learn a thing or two from our readers! While we LOVE a good thrill ride, sometimes it’s the more relaxing and leisurely rides that leave the most lasting impression!

  1. For us, Living With the Land ride is a not to be missed attraction. I remember when our daughters were teenagers and they would get bored riding Living With the Land. In between Disney World vacations when they are sad and missing the parks I’d ask them, “Wouldn’t you love to be on The Land now?” They both agreed and have a better appreciation for the ride. They’re adults now and enjoy the ride much more. One of my daughters always buys hydroponic grown strawberries just because she saw the process on The Land ride. She swears they taste better and last longer.
