NEWS! Details for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Are Coming Soon!

Walt Disney World is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2021!

Disney usually celebrates their anniversaries with big special events and themes. (Remember the pink birthday cake castle from the 25th anniversary? We try to forget!) Next year is already sizing up to be a HUGE celebration for Disney World. Disney has already repainted Cinderella Castle, the highway entrance, and the Magic Kingdom parking entrance in preparation. We’re anxiously awaiting more details for the anniversary and what’s in store.

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Virtual Expo revealed a ton of Disney news and updates today!  It was also revealed that we would be getting information on all the details of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary very soon! Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products stated that he will share details regarding the 50th Anniversary “at a later date, but what I can tell you is, it’s going to be very remarkable, and we intend to celebrate the stories and experiences our guests love.”

Tilak Mandad, EVP of Digital and CTO of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products also stated during his presentation about the future of Disney technology that Disney hopes “you will join us next year for Walt Disney World’s 50th for a taste of what’s to come.” This could mean that Disney is planning on implementing new technology updates for the anniversary. We’ll continue to keep our eyes peeled for more 50th Anniversary updates!
