Flight of Passage is an incredible attraction that allows you to explore the virtual land of Pandora – the World of Avatar.

The ride is iconic for its advanced technology that simulates the feeling of riding on a banshee. Guests get to take an adventure through the Floating Mountains and dreamy scenes of Pandora. It’s a must-do ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and includes an equally dreamy line queue full of details from the film. We noticed something BIG missing from the line that is usually the main attraction of the queue!
Jake, the main character from the Avatar movie, was replicated as a “life-size” figure for the attraction’s queue. The enormous replica is placed inside a water-filled tube for an experimental-themed display. It’s an extraordinary mini-attraction that usually clogs up the line. Guests can’t help but stop and stare at Jake! That is…until now! Jake and the tube is now MISSING from the lab display!

Ironically, the missing Jake was just as fascinating as when Jake is present! Guests were stopping to take a look at the empty lab and Cast Members were ushering people to keep the line moving. We were told that Jake was “out for a walk today.” He’s most likely getting a small refurbishment and the removal is temporary. Rest up, Jake!

It’s 7 months later and Jake is still missing as of 7/14/21. Wondering if the problem is more then a simple refurbishment. Hope we don’t get another Disco Yeti to replace him.
