Disneyland Resort has been closed since March with no official reopening date. The majority of restaurants and shops in Downtown Disney have been open for visitors since July, however.
We’ve seen a few signs of life around Disneyland while walking through the Downtown Disney area. Some Main Street construction work was done and was viewable from the Esplanade. There were also some health and safety signs recently added to the ticket booths. Today, we spotted an iconic piece of Disney California Adventure Park from the main entrance!
The Red Car Trolley transports Disneyland guests from Buena Vista Street into Hollywood Land. It’s a distinct piece of California Adventure that’s recognizable to Disneyland fans. We headed to Disneyland to look for Christmas goodies at World of Disney and the new Backlot Premiere Shop. On the way, a charming little red trolley caught our eye!
Disney will open a few select gift shops and restaurants on Buena Vista Street inside California Adventure this month. The trolley spotting could be in preparation for the park’s modified reopening. Cast Members were spotted on the trolley so it could also just be a routine maintenance check-up.
