In honor of Frozen the Musical making its way to the West End in London, Disney has created a resource that will help support primary students’ wellbeing across the U.K.

The resources will use fun activities and puppets based on Frozen characters. They believe this will help students explore their emotions and learn about trust, friendship, solving conflicts, and their own unique selves. Students will then create their own dramas to perform in front of their peers.

Nancy Shakerley, Education and Outreach Manager at Disney Theatrical Group said: “With wellbeing now a vital part of the curriculum, Frozen the Musical has delivered a creative resource with content that supports teachers to deliver lessons around sensitive topics. Utilizing the characters of Frozen, known and loved by children nationwide, it provides them a shorthand to understand the topics being explored. Whilst meeting the classroom objectives and curriculum, this resource gives the children the freedom to explore emotions, friendships, trust, and uniqueness in a fun, interactive way, using the structure of four adaptable lesson plans.”

The first 100 schools to sign up through The National School Partnership will receive a hard copy of the resource, along with the Frozen puppets.

Frozen the Musical opened on Broadway in the U.S. in 2018 but suspended performances in March due to the global health crisis. A U.S. tour began in 2019 but was also suspended. Disney later announced the show would not return. However, the show is still set to premiere in London’s West End in 2021.
