In recent weeks, more movie studios have been making the call on how to move forward with their upcoming film releases. The announcement that the final few 2020 blockbusters like No Time To Die would instead be released in 2021 was followed by the news that Regal Cinemas would be re-closing their movie theaters due to low demand.

While Disney skipped the theatrical release of Mulan and instead decided to launch the film on Disney+, other studios are holding out and opting to postpone their films’ release dates.

According to Forbes, the release of Jurassic World: Dominion has been pushed back by an entire year. The film was originally scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 11th, 2021, but the film will now premiere on June 10th, 2022.

In the article, it is noted that the film is scheduled to wrap in just a few weeks. Jurassic World: Reunion is the third film in the Jurassic World series and reunites the stars of the original Jurassic Park series, including Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum.

We’ll have to wait until 2022 to see these familiar faces again.

2022 might seem like a long time from now, but this isn’t the only film that has already made the call to delay its release until then. The release of the upcoming film The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, will also be postponed until 2022, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
