This Baby Yoda Toy Was Donated To Help Lift Firefighters’ Spirits While They Battle Wildfires

It’s basically a proven fact that Baby Yoda can brighten up even the darkest of days — he’s just that cute. And now, with just a few weeks away from the premiere of The Mandalorian Season 2 on Disney+,  he’s making headlines for a great cause.

Recently, a five-year-old boy named Carver and his grandmother donated a Baby Yoda toy to firefighters who are trying to control the fires that are still ravaging the west coast, hoping to cheer them up — and it looks like his mission was totally accomplished.

According to CNN, Carver added Baby Yoda (official name: The Child) to the shopping cart when he and his grandma were buying things to donate to the firefighters, and as he wrote in a letter he sent with the toy, he wanted them to have it “in case you get lonely.”

Seriously, is that not the cutest thing ever?

There’s even a Facebook group called “Baby Yoda Fights Fires” that documents all of the toy’s travels,  and boy, does this little guy get around. Here he is gearing up to hop on a plane!

He’s made a few friends along the way as well, including some of the furry variety, like this horse.

Judging by all the photos and videos on Facebook that the firefighters have shared across several different states, it seems like Baby Yoda has really made his mark. You can catch even more Baby Yoda when The Mandalorian returns for season two on October 30th!
