Here’s What Happened If You DIDN’T Win an Emmy Award in 2020!

The 72nd Emmy Awards happened last night, and BOY was it eventful!

While Jimmy Kimmel hosted the event, shows like The Mandalorian were nominated for 15 different awards (and even won a few) during the show. Even though we may have been a little thrilled to see Schitt’s Creek make a landslide with wins, there were a few very deserving nominees who couldn’t all win an Emmy.

Ramy Youssef, who was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Director for a Comedy Series, didn’t win either award. However, he kept in good spirits as he posted a hilarious video to his Twitter page.

Apparently interns (who dressed in hazmat suits) were placed outside of the houses of the nominees during the event. While each of them were holding an Emmy award in case that specific nominee won, Youssef showed exactly what happened for those that didn’t win.

Ramy’s video shows that the interns apparently stood outside the window, waved goodbye, and shuffled away as he had to watch the could-have-been Emmy glistening in the light. OUCH.
