Labor Day Weekend Update! Here’s All the Crowds, Wait Times, and More We Saw at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Can you believe it’s already September? AND, it’s the first holiday weekend that we’ve gotten the chance to celebrate in Disney World?!

While Disney World Park Pass availability has been sold out in all four parks for Labor Day Weekend, we’re giving you a look at what Disney’s Hollywood Studios looked like today during our visit!

Capacity is limited in the parks right now, but Labor Day Weekend is the first time we’ve seen all four of Disney World’s parks actually hit their capacity limit. At the moment, there aren’t anymore reservations available for the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend.

Entrance

The temperature checks and entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios were definitely busy with lots of guests excited to explore the park. However, Cast Members made sure that there was enough spacing between guests…

The crowds were VERY busy when we first entered the park, similar to what we’ve seen at the opening each day.

Labor Day Weekend Crowds

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway had a capacity sitting at a 90-minute wait, where Cast Members told guests to come back after 10AM to see if they were able to join the line once it started moving.

As we made our way into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the crowds lessened a bit…

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run sat at a 30 minute wait when we first hopped in line…

…where it only took us around 15 minutes to reach the Millennium Falcon’s pre-show with Hondo Ohnaka giving us all the deets of our mission.

Guests were spaced out as they waited (and we kind of wanted to play a game of Dejarik in the meantime) before they entered their respective cockpits to operate the Millennium Falcon’s controls.

When we completed our mission and left the ride, the wait time went up to 50 minutes instead.

Toy Story Land had more crowds than Galaxy’s Edge as families traveled to the playground the toys have set up!

Slinky Dog Dash was operating at a 50-minute wait time

Next door, Toy Story Mania had a 45-minute line to try and nab that high score of the day.

Back at Hollywood Boulevard, the Character Cavalcades were running for guests to greet their best pals…

…even though Mickey decided to take a stroll for the day, instead of driving around in his sweet ride.

As the day went on, we noticed that the crowds considerably dropped in Hollywood Studios. At around 4PM, popular waits went down to 45 minutes at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, 25 minutes at Millennium Falcon, and 20 minutes at Toy Story Mania.

Labor Day Weekend Crowds

While Labor Day Weekend may have hit capacity, Hollywood Studios has still operated like it normally would with crowds, queues, wait times, and more shifting from higher to lower amounts of people throughout the day. 1. We were at Hollywood Studios Saturday and Animal Kingdom Sunday (today). We waited until noon to even go to Hollywood Studios, and we only stayed until about 5. Today we spent the whole day at Animal Kingdom. Parts of Animal Kingdom were packed! There were big crowds around the very few counter service restaurants, and it made me pretty nervous. But, I will say that overall, people were patient and doing everything they were supposed to do for safety. I’m curious to see what tomorrow (actual Labor Day) will bring.
